DENTAL IMPLANT COSTS

;

Dental Implant Costs Penrith

How Much Do Dental Implants Cost?

The cost of dental implant treatment varies because every patient and every missing tooth is different.

At Best Western Dental Centre in Penrith, we do not advertise one implant price as though it applies to every patient. The total cost depends on the number of teeth being replaced, the type of implant restoration, the available jawbone and whether additional procedures are required.

Following your assessment and treatment planning, we provide an individual written treatment plan and quotation so you understand the recommended treatment and associated fees before deciding whether to proceed.

What Affects the Cost of Dental Implants?

Number of Teeth Being Replaced

The treatment required to replace one missing tooth is different from replacing several teeth or a complete arch.

Treatment may involve:

  • single dental implant and crown

  • an implant-supported bridge for several missing teeth

  • an implant-supported denture

  • fixed full-arch bridge, including All-on-4-type treatment where appropriate

The number of implants and type of final restoration therefore have a significant effect on the overall cost.

Available Jawbone

Dental implants require adequate bone in an appropriate position.

Bone can reduce in width or height after tooth loss and may also be affected by periodontal disease, infection or previous trauma.

If there is insufficient bone for the proposed implant, additional procedures such as bone grafting or ridge augmentation may be required.

For implants in the upper back jaw, a sinus lift may sometimes be necessary.

These procedures increase the complexity of treatment and affect the overall cost.

Tooth Extraction

If a damaged or failing tooth is still present, it may need to be removed before or at the time of implant placement.

In selected cases, an implant can be placed immediately after extraction. In other situations, healing may be required before the implant is placed.

The appropriate approach depends on the condition of the tooth, infection, available bone and gum tissues.

Implant Crown, Bridge or Full-Arch Teeth

The dental implant itself is only one part of the completed treatment.

The design and materials used for the final implant crown, bridge, denture or full-arch restoration, together with the laboratory work required, contribute to the overall treatment cost.

Some patients may also require temporary teeth during healing.

Bone Grafting and Sinus Lift

Not every implant patient requires bone grafting.

Where additional bone is required, treatment may involve:

  • bone grafting

  • ridge augmentation

  • internal sinus lift

  • external sinus lift

The type and extent of the additional procedure can affect both the treatment time and overall cost.

3D Imaging and Guided Implant Planning

Careful planning is an important part of implant treatment.

At Best Western Dental Centre, CBCT 3D imaging is used to assess the jawbone and relevant anatomical structures for implant planning.

For suitable cases, digital implant planning and a custom surgical guide may also be used to help transfer the planned implant position to the mouth during surgery.

Why Don’t We Advertise One Dental Implant Price?

It can be difficult to compare dental implant treatment based on an advertised price alone.

Different quotations may include different components. An advertised figure may or may not include implant surgery, implant components, the final crown or bridge, imaging, temporary teeth, bone grafting or other procedures.

Two patients replacing the same tooth may also require quite different treatment because of differences in their jawbone, gums, bite and surrounding teeth.

For this reason, Best Western Dental Centre provides an individual written treatment plan and quotation after assessment, rather than presenting one advertised implant price as though it applies to everyone.

One Free Dental Implant Consultation

Best Western Dental Centre offers one free dental implant consultation per person.

recent, suitable CBCT scan is required for the consultation so Dr Nathan Le can assess the available jawbone and relevant anatomical structures when discussing your implant treatment options.

$120 booking deposit is required to secure all implant consultation appointments, including appointments for patients who already have a recent CBCT.

The consultation itself remains free.

If You Need a CBCT

If you do not already have a recent suitable CBCT, we can take one at Best Western Dental Centre.

CBCT fee: $280

Your $120 booking deposit is credited towards the $280 CBCT fee, with the remaining balance payable at your appointment.

If You Already Have a Recent CBCT

Please let our staff know when requesting your appointment.

Where possible, provide your CBCT before the consultation so we can confirm that it can be accessed and is suitable for assessing the proposed implant area.

If you provide a recent suitable CBCT and attend your consultation, your $120 booking deposit will be refunded.

If your existing CBCT is unsuitable and a new CBCT is required at Best Western Dental Centre, your $120 deposit will instead be credited towards the $280 CBCT fee.

Cancellation, Rescheduling and No-Shows

If you need to cancel or reschedule your implant consultation, please provide at least 2 weekdays’ notice.

Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays do not count towards the notice period, even if the practice is open on Saturday.

For example, cancelling on Saturday for a Monday appointment does not provide the required 2 weekdays’ notice.

If the required notice is provided, your $120 booking deposit can be refunded or transferred to a rescheduled appointment.

If you cancel or reschedule without the required notice, the $120 booking deposit may be forfeited.

If you fail to attend your appointment without the required notice, the $120 booking deposit will be forfeited, and a new booking deposit may be required before another implant consultation can be scheduled.

What Happens at Your Implant Consultation?

Dr Nathan Le will review your CBCT and assess your individual situation.

Depending on your needs, this may include:

  • examining your teeth and gums

  • assessing your bite

  • reviewing your dental and relevant medical history

  • assessing the available jawbone on your CBCT

  • considering neighbouring teeth and relevant anatomical structures

  • discussing suitable implant treatment options

  • considering whether bone grafting or sinus augmentation may be required

  • discussing appropriate alternatives where relevant

More complex cases may require additional records or planning before a definitive treatment plan can be completed.

Your Written Dental Implant Treatment Plan

Once the necessary assessment and planning have been completed, your written treatment plan may include:

  • the proposed implant treatment

  • the number and location of implants

  • the tooth or teeth being replaced

  • the proposed crown, bridge, denture or full-arch restoration

  • any required extractions

  • anticipated bone grafting or sinus augmentation

  • the main stages and sequence of treatment

  • the associated treatment fees

Where reasonable alternatives exist, these can also be discussed.

Our aim is for you to understand what treatment is recommended, why it is recommended and the anticipated costs before deciding whether to proceed.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dental Implant Costs

How much does a dental implant cost in Penrith?

There is no single fee that applies to every implant case.

The cost depends on the number of implants required, the final restoration, available bone and whether additional procedures such as extraction, bone grafting or sinus augmentation are necessary.

Following assessment and treatment planning, we provide an individual written quotation.

Why aren’t dental implant prices listed on your website?

Implant treatment varies considerably between patients, and advertised prices do not always include the same components.

We prefer to assess the treatment you actually require and provide a written quotation based on your individual treatment plan.

Is the dental implant consultation free?

Yes. We offer one free dental implant consultation per person.

A recent suitable CBCT is required, and a $120 booking deposit is required to secure the appointment.

Why is there a $120 deposit if the consultation is free?

The $120 is a booking deposit, not a consultation fee.

If Best Western Dental Centre takes your CBCT, the deposit is credited towards the $280 CBCT fee.

If you already have a recent suitable CBCT and attend your consultation, the $120 booking deposit is refunded.

Can I bring a CBCT taken elsewhere?

Yes, provided it is recent, includes the required area, is suitable for implant assessment and can be accessed by our practice.

Please advise our staff when requesting your consultation.

Does bone grafting or a sinus lift increase the cost?

Yes. If bone grafting or sinus augmentation is required, it adds an additional procedure and can affect the overall treatment cost.

Not every implant patient requires these procedures.

Will I know the cost before treatment begins?

Once the necessary assessment and planning have been completed, we provide a written treatment plan outlining the proposed treatment and associated fees.
